Dear Prof. Lohani

People are clamoring about imminent state capture by BRB on behalf of UCPNM. However, state capture has already become a fait accompli. BRB and his cronies, although rendered care taker, have no intention to make way for a government with executive authority, till election is yet to be held. BRB has taken the opportunity appoint chief secretary, IGP, et al of his choice and just yesterday he appointed 11 secretaries that will do his bidding without demur.

Appropriation Ordinance promulgated by the care taker government covers expenditure through till the end of this month (Kartik) and the care taker government will not have any authority to incur expenses from 1st Marga. This will create economic/fiscal havoc and give an opportunity to BRB and his cronies for another face off with the president. They will do their level best to point finger at the president, who will have to refuse to consent to another ordinance (he has no choice but to refuse), as the one who is responsible for the misery of the people for his refusal. This will result in economic emergency. The rest is in the womb of the future.

Dear Ratna Sansarji,

I have failed to understand why national leaders like Maoist Supremo Prachanda are raising issues which are not endorsed by the Interim Constitution.Of course, one can understand the underlying motive behind his proposal that if the presidential election takes place, he will get elected with thumping majority.How can this election be held before a new constitution is promulgated.? This is nothing but Maoist game to prolong the stalemate and have a tight grip on power.Thank you,Mr.Shrestha, for rasing this pertinent issue .
