Prof. Dr Mohan LohaniTribhuvan University
Dear Prof. Lohani
Thanks a lot for reverting back.
It was a mistake to elect such a big CA with very few members well versed in constitution, constitutionality and constitutional law. Therefore, past 3 years were spent on things other than constitution building. Besides, the constitution building exercise was relegated to second place and these people's first priority has been "government" building instead.
I think it rather natural for royalists to try to revive 1990 constitution. However, they need to realize that deposed monarchy is very unpopular now and necessary groundswell of support for the purpose will not be forthcoming from the people. Therefore, they also need to learn the ground reality and not do anything that will further destabilize the country.
With best regards,
Sincerely,

Subject: Your article on Constituent Assembly
Dear Ratna Sansarji,
> Thanks for forwarding your timely article which should inject some sense and sanity into our CA members who,as you have rightly pointed out, have given little importance to the constitution making process.I agree with you that some NC and UML members too are in favor of dissolving the CA,leaving out the Royalists whos are damn busy reviving the 1990 constitution.Your plea for an all party national govt.is the only sensible approach if we are serious in drafting a new constitution. The Maoists being the largest party in the CA have to bear a major responsibility in accomplishing the twin tasks, namely, the completion of the peace process and drafting a new Loktantric constituion.
> Wishing yu all the best and with regards,
