RE: प्रधान न्यायाधीशको नेतृत्वमा सरकार गठन गरेर गत्यावरोध भंग गर्ने प्रस्ताव स्वागतयोग्य

To: Madhukar SJBR Madhukar jee Very well articulated! I couldn’t’ have put it better. To recap: The captioned government to conduct election shall conduct election for both national legislature (by whatever name it is called) and local bodies. The legislature should not be a jumbo like the last one and elected local bodies are to focus on improvement of life style of the rural people (people in urban areas are pampered too much already). He should also ask the Cheif Justice cum interim PM to convene a Round Table Conference of all political parties to decides on the Nature of the new Constitution Drafting Committee to be approved by the new Parliamnet with a 2/3rd majority followed by a Referendum on it bynthe People to uphold People's Sovereignty In this process we should also have in place all VDC, District and Municipal Governments in place executing local MDG development projects as well as local and district level infrastructure projects in a devolved manner through direct funding by the Ministry of Finance with diligence, accountability and audit to the local communities. If we dilly dally further in quest for the much hyped consensus as the Opposition is hell bent on toppling Babu Ram and, as mistrust and social fragmentation explode, the economy will take a nose dive from its 3-5 to 4.0 GDP growth towards 2.5 % fuelled by unimaginable inflation from cost push factors result in financial and foreign exchange crises, bank failures, massive outflow of capital and the rise of the mafia economy with politicisation of crime and criminalisation of politics. In such a scenario will the President be ready to declare a National Economic Emergency and take appropriate measures pragmatically? A person deemed to be independent by UCPNM will be deemed UCPNM supporter/well-wisher by other parties and vice versa. This is applicable in the cases of all names bandied so far as candidates for independent person to lead election government. Therefore, chief justice is most non-controversial person for the purpose. Our motherland is in an unusual jam and it calls for unusual solution. Besides, even countries have used the idea successfully. Therefore, those committed to free and fair election should fall in line and allow the citizenry an opportunity to elect next legislature. Kursi" is the immediate goal and all other considerations are of secondary importance to them. They are mainly focused on getting in the government and they have long since harping that it is their turn. Maybe UCPNM fear is right that NC doesn’t plan to conduct election rather take their turn in state capture.
