Prof. Dr Mohan Lohani
Tribhuvan UniversityDear Prof. Lohani
Minister Bista is definitely a different person; unprecedented is the word that comes to my mind. However, I wish the reforms he has undertaken/initiated be long lasting which is doubtful. One example is him stepping down from the position of chair of NEA. NEA Act stipulates that either minster of water resources will be the chair of the board of directors or a person nominated by GoN. Now energy secretary has become the chairperson as a nominee of GoN. Minister Bista should have used his energy, stamina and perseverance to amend this provision while in power. Without getting this provision amended, nothing will stop next minister from assuming the chairpersonship. I am apprehensive that next energy minister will not be different from past ministers which will be unfortunate for NEA and the sector.
With best regards,
Sincerely,

Dear Ratna Sansarji,
I am also a supporter of Minister Bista who gives the impression of being a nationalist and takes little interest in his personal benefits.Let us hope if the country has such honest and sincere politicians, its future is bright.
Tks and regds,
Mohan Lohani
